Mounts are being given out by seniority in the guild, and I got mine tonight :D! YAY! I joined the guild a few weeks before we went 25man. Also note, green fire is from a warlock he was jumping around while I taking screenshots and I thought it looked neat. Anyways. I joined the guild officially on April 2nd according to WoW progress, and I have zero regrets. I was previously in a horde guild located on Ysera (that I won’t name), but the guild was just not what I was looking for in a raid environment. We had issues with killing bosses and people actually pulling their weight. Plus no one was held accountable for messing up or not pulling their weight. We had to stop doing heroic bosses because we lost a few people and could only do normals. It was frustrating. I am SO glad Leblue and Dubs talked to me about joining Premeditated.
After being in the guild for about a month the guild managed to kill Heroic Garrosh on 10man (they only brought me up to spoils), and the next day Dubs asked if I wanted to start recruiting people. One month in the guild I for some reason (my guess no one else wanted to do it!) was trusted to find people. And I did. I created a guild website in about a day and started advertising the guild. Before I knew it we had 25 people ready to go and decided to jump into 25man that following Tuesday. May 21st we started heroic 25man raiding, on August 7th we killed heroic Garrosh on 25man. I like to think I exceeded Dubs’ expectations when it came to becoming an officer and handling certain things (I really do have a lot of spreadsheets) and that he doesn’t regret it. Because I certainly don’t! I imagine if I was still in my old guild I would have quit playing WoW. But now, here I am months later with new friends, a shiny mount, and my first heroic final boss kill before content is officially considered outdated. I am very excited for what Warlords brings us! I’ve learned quite a bit about being an officer (have been a recruitment/webmaster officer before but only for 10man guilds), and I hope to continue sharing my experiences and tips both on this blog and my youtube channel.
I later learned after I left my old guild that they were shit talking me and claiming that I did no healing, even though I was always #1 on the charts and more than pulled my weight I feel like that alone reassured me in leaving the guild and that server. I still have some horde toons on Ysera in some random guild, but eventually I want to move them too. (430 views)
