I first started raiding in Wrath of the Lich King (although I started playing in BC, I just take a long time to level!) and it’s where I have most of my fondest memories of playing World of Warcraft. I remember raiding with my guild at the time which was a 10man raiding guild a few times a week. On our raiding days off myself and others would get into a 25man pug for gear, and I miss this system!
Although LFR somewhat makes up for the lack of two separate lockouts, but the amount of trolls in LFR astounds me. Currently I only run LFR on my disc priest Sookeh and that will stop once I no longer need gear from it and have enough gear from running the actual Throne of Thunder. Between the elitists that join and think their 80k+ DPS is the best ever and the tanks that have no idea what they are doing but still blame bad healers and dps, it makes LFR not enjoyable. At all. If I was not actively raiding on my priest or pvping on my druid I would probably not be playing this game anymore. I would love to gear up alts through LFR, but the idea of running it more than once a week just does not sit well with me. I miss the days of pugs that didn’t yell at once another and could actually clear current content without too much difficulty. I miss the days when if I wasn’t even able to raid with my guild I could still pug 25mans and feel like I was still keeping up with gear.
I love Throne of Thunder and I love the current guild that I raid with, but I don’t love or enjoy what raiding has become. I also love the idea behind LFR but there are always going to be people that are bored that will troll and wipe people in LFR for shits and giggles without any sort of penalty. Really, I just miss how raiding used to be
So what about you? Did you enjoy have 2 separate lockouts or do you enjoy them being one and having the ability to do LFR? (15406 views)
